Police Act Rough on Lockdown Violators
The Hyderabad City Police is on overdrive on Tuesday, cracking down on anyone violating lockdown regulations and in fact, chasing away fruit and vegetable vendors who were moving on the roads and making shops pull their shutters down by 2 pm itself in many areas.
The crackdown, which comes a day after Telangana Director-General Police M Mahender Reddy announced stringent action against lockdown violators, saw teams of the traffic police, along with law and order police, seizing vehicles of persons moving aimlessly on the roads and tightening inspections at many check-posts.
Increase in coronavirus positive cases in Telangana continues with health authorities on Tuesday reporting 56 more persons testing positive for Covid-19.
