Coronavirus Explained: UK COVID-19 outbreak could see pubs shut until December Pubs could be closed until Christmas it has been reported after Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove refused to rule out the possibility on Sunday evening.

He said pubs would be among the ‘last to open’ as the UK entered its fifth week of COVID-19 lockdown.

It comes as Prime Minister Boris Johnson reportedly told his top team he is ‘very cautious’ about lifting the lockdown measures too early and risking a second wave of coronavirus infections.
