Newsom seeks to add more beds and facilities, including Kings arena

Gov. Gavin Newsom is leading an effort to add 50,000 hospital beds to the 75,000 already existing in California. His Health Corps volunteers will help set up the extra beds. Newsom is also trying to add facilities as coronavirus surge hospitals. The Sacramento Kings' Sleep Train Arena is being prepared to use as one such hospital.
