After stretching out on the beach the next day we headed up to check out some of the hill and tracks around the Adelaide River. As this was shortly after the wet there was still plenty of water around and it was a good 10 degrees cooler once we got under the canopy which was a welcome relief.
The front locker on Milo started playing up a bit, but there was plenty of trees around for a quick winch and self recovery, much to the disappointment of my mate Mark who was at the ready with hi Patrol.
Things go a bit hairy when Penny near put one of the 80's on its side which would have made it the second of her partner Paul's 80s that she had written off. But with a bunch of well experienced 4WDers around it was all sorted out without too much fussing around.
After winding through the forest and tracks for a while we pulled up for lunch at a spectacular waterfall made even better by the fact you can only get to it with a 4WD!
