Point of Interest Bike Ride | Chateau de Chillon - Switzerland | Touring with the Trek Powerfly 4

In this point of interest bike ride, we take a round trip 40 mile or 64 km bike ride to Chateau de Chillon, a local Castle that sits on Lake Geneva / Lac Leman in Montreux, Switzerland. The castle itself was shut down to visitors during this time, but we made the trip anyway; to marvel at it from the outside. Plus, we got some good exercise on a rain-free Saturday. I was on the road bike and my wife took our trusty eBike, the Trek Powerfly 4. Thankfully, the eBike got my wife 99% of the way home, but we did end up draining the battery about 1 mile or 1.6 km away from home. So, we hopped off our bikes and walked the rest of the way home! It wasn’t a flat walk, so we certainly got our balance of exercise just from the walk alone!

What were some of the most memorable parts of the bike ride? The views, dropping the GoPro, and realizing our massive sunburns the morning after.
