Wolf Warrior 2, an action movie directed by Wu Jing, was released in China in 2017. It is most remembered for its last scene, which shows a Chinese passport with a proud statement on it:

“When you encounter danger in other countries, don't give up! Remember, there is a strong nation behind you—your motherland!"

Presently, overseas Chinese trying to return to China amid the pandemic are blocked from entry by Chinese authorities. Some vent their anger on director Wu Jing.

Wu Jing, you [expletive], can you take me home? I have a Chinese passport. Help me return to China? Stop acting like an agitated fool!

Conclusion: Similar situation was also reported for Chinese in the Philippines.

In early April, dozens of Chinese in Nepal were seen yelling outside the Chinese embassy, demanding that Chinese authorities grant them their basic rights as Chinese citizens.
“Chinese Embassy, I want to go home! Chinese Embassy, I want to go home!”
A Chinese man posted a video of himself berating Wu while holding a Chinese passport. Another netizen revealed that this man is Chinese and living in Phuket, Thailand. He tried to fly back to China, but could not get a landing permit for their charter flight.
“I want to return to China! I want to return to China!”

Chinese Expats Stuck at Russian Border
Film maker: There are people one after another coming to Heihe port hoping to return to China but they are stuck. There’s no explanation from the officials.

Blagoveshchensk is a city of Russia, opposite to the Chinese city of Heihe in Heilongjiang province. Many Chinese people are wandering the city streets. Reports say at least 31 people have been roaming the streets for 12 days. The communist regime refuses to allow them entry and even rewards those who report on them or help in their arrest.
