36 session of ECLAC: Interview with Gaston Browne (Antigua and Barbuda)

36 session of ECLAC: Interview with Gaston Browne (Antigua and Barbuda) In this interview, Gaston Browne, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Corporate Governance of Antigua and Barbuda, points out that global rules have been set out by developed countries and do not take into consideration the peculiarities of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS), which –in his view- reinforces global inequalities. Mr. Browne also appreciated ECLAC assistance to region’s governments in capacity building.

This video was recorded at the thirty-sixth session of ECLAC, held in Mexico City from May 23-27, 2016. It takes part of a series of interviews with personalities attending that event, where the regional organization presented the document Horizons 2030: Equality at the center of sustainable development that proposes an analytical framework for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean.
